Open Act of Accession to the Declaration on the establishment of a Representative Organization of the ACHPCR

The leaders of religious associations, who have signed this declaration, express their voluntary commitment to the principles and goals embodied in the general declaration on the formation of the Advisory Council of the Heads of Protestant Churches in Russia (ACHPCR), adopted on February 20, 2002, and other regulations governing the activities of the Council. We are convinced that our joint efforts are essential for the development and consolidation not only of our communities, but as well as for the fulfillment of of the commandments and instructions of the Lord, declare:

• Our commitment to the constitutional principle of separation of church and state, and strive to contribute to the spiritual and moral transformations in society;
• The coordination of joint activities to establish civil peace and social harmony in society;
• The development of a unified position in the interactions with the state, other religious organizations and unions;
• Assistance and support for charitable activities and social services;
• Development of proposals to improve the current legislation regarding the activities of religious organizations and unions;
• Development of relationships with state authorities, media, non-governmental and religious organizations and unions to promote spiritual and educational activities aimed at improving the moral climate in society;
• Protection of human rights and religious freedoms of believers.

We believe that safeguarding life, freedom, independence, and religious liberty is essential for the development of peace. Other Christian churches may join this declaration if they recognize the need for collaborative action.
